Gina D’Amato H.
We are very pleased to announce that Gina D’Amato H will become the new Executive Director of the Marina Orth Foundation, beginning March 1, 2016. Gina, a native of Medellin, has held a number of positions with international organizations and in government. As part of Antioquia’s signature education program, Antioquia La Mas Educada, Gina most recently served as Director of Tourism Development, to teach sustainable tourism in rural areas. She holds two masters degrees in Development from The Hague Institute of Social Studies and Universidad Internacional de Andalucía. She is currently studying for a Ph.D. at EAFIT university, where she has also worked as a lecturer. With her experience both inside and outside the classroom, and her knowledge of how development works on both a local and international scale, we are excited to welcome her to build on the successes of our first decade and to launch our bold new initiatives in technology, English and leadership.
